Nano Cube Deluxe for Sale
According to my hubby, I have too many empty tanks. This, of course, is all in his imagination, but in interest of peace I'm putting my 12-gal Nano Cube Deluxe up for sale -- $30 takes it all. Thought I'd let you all know before putting it on Craig's List. I'm here in Santa Fe -- if interested, let me know.
Nano Cubes, built for salt-water setups, have tremendous filtration capability and the equipment area (3 compartments) is hidden from view. Before retiring, I used it for a freshwater planted tank at my office for 1 1/2 years - total overkill for my betta and cherry shrimp. But the critters, plants and my customers loved it. The water was always crystal clear. These tanks run about $200 new.
Included:
12 gal tank w/ flip-top canopy and integrated 106 gph pump
Fan-cooled compact fluorescent lighting w/ballast and /built-in Nite-Vu moonlight bulbs
* Capacity for two 24W lamps
* I have one lamp bulb installed and have an extra (never-used) lamp (both are 6500K for plants)
I just used it for my plants while revamping my big tank, so everything is working. The cooling fans, when they first go on the morning, are very noisy but then quiet down. They may simply need a bit of oil.
Even with the cooling fans, these tanks tend to run warm because of the amount of lighting. I simply left the front panel of the lid up and that worked fine for me.

Is it still available? I will buy!
It seems to me like the solution to "too many empty tanks" is to make sure they aren't empty
