Hi guys,

Recently I got a job offer I couldn't refuse. Instead of trying to move my two tanks across the country I decided to sell them and restart in my new area.

Tank #1
55G Freshwater Planted tank with stand.
- 2 X 55W PC bulbs with AH supply reflectors in a custom made canopy.
- Jebao 918 canister filter. 317gph suitable for up to 155G tanks.
- 300W submersible heater.
- Substrate = Turface pro league red ( Good for planted tanks)
- Tons of misc accessories ( food, fake plants, air tubes, air pumps, testing equipment, filter parts, chemicals and treatments, etc)
- Mopani Driftwood
- Glass tops
- Ferts (Seachem equilibrium, KNO3, KH2PO4) to keep the current dosing method up for at least a couple years. ( It's a low tech no co2 planted tank. No water changes are required or very seldom needed!) Tank is extremely low maintenance, all you do is dose the appropriate nutrients every week or every other week.
- Fish are included in the sale. They are 2 Rummy nose tetras 10+ adult mollies. 5+ Baby mollies, 1 red skirt tetra, 3 Ottos, 2-5 Red Cherry shrimp, unknown amount of MTS/ram snails.

Has some BBA and BGA due to lack of maintenance by me =(. This can be taken care of pretty easily though.

I also have some amazing manzanita pieces. 1 large tree which would be big enough for a 200+ tank or many smaller tanks for 50.00.
Also have 4 bags of Soil Master Select gray substrate. Brand new never used for 15.00 for a 50lb bag.I bought them a few months ago for 27.00 each.

Hey did you already sell all of your stuff? Because I was kind of interested in one of your canister filters, if I could just buy that instead of the whole tank. If not that's cool.
I hope the move goes well,
connor

Hi Conner,

I'm currently not in Abq, so it's be hard for me to part the tanks out. Still trying to sell as a unit, but if I get desperate I'll part them out.

Price drop to 225.00 and 325.00

Not sure why I'm not getting more offers via craigslist, I consider these prices pretty fair. Considering equipment and etc. Am I out of touch?

To be perfectly honest (and I'm not in the market for a tank, so I'm a disinterested party), tanks really depreciate fast. I think people are hesitant to go for a used tank, maybe because of concerns about leaking etc, so they don't sell for much. I frequently see 55 gallon tanks for $100 or less, often with equipment. I've bought a few tanks on craigslist, but I paid I think $300 for 100 gallon acrylic tanks and $200 for a 55 gallon acrylic tank. Acrylics usually run more than glass.

Sorry Sad

I think Samuel has a point. Your set-ups sound really nice, but unfortunately I don't think one can get out of a tank nearly what they put into it. For instance I just bought a 125gal tank, with stand, cover, lights, and python water changer for $250. And the woman even said she had it on Craigslist for months at $300 and no one touched it... I thought I was getting a great deal at $250.

Now, with that said, and your most recent prices, I think you are asking a very fair price for the extensive amount of stuff, and the quality of it, that comes with each tank. If I was in the market for tanks that size I would certainly make you an offer.

Good luck with your sale.

Greg
