Assassin Snails on line thru US Postal Service be careful!
I just bought 12 Assassin Snails on line and they shipped them US Postal Service. I thought Snails not to worry. I got 14 Snails all DOA. The Mailman came 2 hours early ( for the first time ), the temp. was 104 and they used no styrofoam box. The poor snails cooked. E-mailed back. No refunds or exchanges. I guess the moral of the story is " You get what you pay for ".
Id go in on some assassins too!
Dennis, who did you go through so we all can try to avoid the retailer?
That's really sad! I've bought lots of snails (nerites and assassins) online and have had no problems at all. Of course the most recent ones came with a cold pack in the box to keep them from getting too hot. If you decide to order again, you might want to request a cold pack be included in the box. Did you get a live arrival guarantee with the purchase?
It would be kinda hard to in on buying Assassin Snails togeather, I live in Roswell. Maybe lostcrow & fastj1 can go in togeather.
I assumed they did when I bought them because most places do. When I E-mailed them with my problem they said no guarantee. I got them on Aquabid and they had good reviews. It was mgamer20o0@gmail.com. I always had good luck with Aquabid.
I'm really surprised as I have bought many things from them through their online store, Bob's Tropical Plants. I've always received well packed and very healthy plants and inverts. In fact, I've got a plant order coming from them next week.
Well, I guess it shows there can always be problems even with someone you're used to doing business with. I'm just really sorry you lost your assassins.

Sorry to hear that. That's terrible. Hopefully you will have better luck with your next batch. Have you tried LiveAquaria.com, ThatFishPlace.com, or ArizonaAquaticGardens.com? They might have them. I know they are a hot item, and a lot of people have been asking about them on here. Somebody may have some extras. I would like to get some too, so if you find a place and would like to split the cost of the snails and the shipping, let me know.
